SUMMARY:Amazing Dinoworld 2
DESCRIPTION:Shiori Yamaguchi, Kohei Hidaka, Yusuke Matsufune, and Yasuhiro
Adachi (NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation))\n\nAmazing Dinoworld 2 is a
Japanese TV program that visualizes dinosaurs that grew to giant size to
survive in the survival of the fittest in "Gondwana," which existed in the
southern hemisphere 66 million years ago.The program also represents the
"meteorite impact" that is believed to have triggered the extinction of th
e dinosaurs, and focuses on dinosaurs surviving in the harsh world after t
he meteorite impact. Each cut was composited with computer graphics dinosau
rs and effects on footage shot on location.Footage were shot throughout Ja
pan.Of course, dinosaurs do not exist today. Therefore, it is quite diffic
ult to shoot without a subject.Based on the storyboard, an object was film
ed to serve as a reference for the size of the dinosaurs, and the position
and movement of the dinosaurs were naturally connected in the editing pro
cess. The dinosaur models used in the program were created from scratch bas
ed on the latest research data. Some of the dinosaurs had hair, and the Yet
i(MAYA plug-in) was used to simulate hair.Meteorite impact and tsunami eff
ects were also created in Houdini based on the researchers' advice.\n\nReg
