SUMMARY:Amazing Dinoworld 2
DESCRIPTION:Computer Animation Festival, Key Events\n\nShiori Yamaguchi, K
ohei Hidaka, Yusuke Matsufune, and Yasuhiro Adachi (NHK (Japan Broadcastin
g Corporation))\n\nAmazing Dinoworld 2 is a Japanese TV program that visua
lizes dinosaurs that grew to giant size to survive in the survival of the
fittest in "Gondwana," which existed in the southern hemisphere 66 million
years ago.The program also represents the "meteorite impact" that is beli
eved to have triggered the extinction of the dinosaurs, and focuses on din
osaurs surviving in the harsh world after the meteorite impact. Each cut wa
s composited with computer graphics dinosaurs and effects on footage shot
on location.Footage were shot throughout Japan.Of course, dinosaurs do not
exist today. Therefore, it is quite difficult to shoot without a subject.
Based on the storyboard, an object was filmed to serve as a reference for
the size of the dinosaurs, and the position and movement of the dinosaurs
were naturally connected in the editing process. The dinosaur models used i
n the program were created from scratch based on the latest research data.
Some of the dinosaurs had hair, and the Yeti(MAYA plug-in) was used to sim
ulate hair.Meteorite impact and tsunami effects were also created in Houdi
ni based on the researchers' advice.\n\nRegistration Category: Enhanced Ac
cess, Full Access, Full Access Supporter\n\nLanguage Format: English Langu
