This thesis transcends RGB imaging by exploring the under explored potential of polarization, ray direction, and time-of-flight of l ight. First, it leverages polarization for geometry, reflectance, and ligh ting estimation to accurately edit appearance. Next, it turns glossy objec ts into cameras by using reflections to recover the 3D environment. Finall y, it develops systems exploiting time-of-flight photon distribution to re construct hidden scenes. By harnessing light's potential, this work lays t he foundation for next-generation vision systems that recover information invisible to human eyes and cameras.\n\nRegistration Category: Full Access \n\nSession Chair: Aaron Quigley (CSIRO's Data61) URL:https://asia.siggraph.org/2023/full-program?id=doc_119&sess=sess211 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
