SUMMARY:Real-time streaming of high fidelity content across continents wit
hin immersive environments on NRP's 100Gbps Science DMZ
DESCRIPTION:Neil Smith (Immersive Visualization Center, Qualcomm Institute
of Technology,; UC San Diego) and Giovanni Vindiola, John Graham, and Tho
mas DeFanti (Immersive Visualization Center, Qualcomm Institute of Technol
ogy; UC San Diego)\n\nThrough UC San Diego's Immersive Visualization Cente
r in partnership with the National Research Platform we are able to conduc
t collaborative immersive research across continents through an 100G inter
net backbone. In this demo we demonstrate the ability to stream 3D assets,
gigapixel stereo panoramas, and low latency multi-user interaction inside
the CyberArchWarehouse, a 3d immersive environment for studying digital a
rchaeology and cultural heritage running inside Unreal Engine 5.\n<br></br
