This t hesis transcends RGB imaging by exploring the underexplored potential of p olarization, ray direction, and time-of-flight of light. First, it leverag es polarization for geometry, reflectance, and lighting estimation to accu rately edit appearance. Next, it turns glossy objects into cameras by usin g reflections to recover the 3D environment. Finally, it develops systems exploiting time-of-flight photon distribution to reconstruct hidden scenes . By harnessing light's potential, this work lays the foundation for next- generation vision systems that recover information invisible to human eyes and cameras.\n\nRegistration Category: Full Access\n\nSession Chair: Aaro n Quigley (CSIRO's Data61)\n\n URL:https://asia.siggraph.org/2023/full-program?id=doc_119&sess=sess211 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
