SUMMARY:Fast Remeshing-Free Methods for Complex Cutting and Fracture Simul

 \nSimulating complex cuts and fractures robustly and accurately benefits a
  broad spectrum of researchers. We develop a graph-based Finite Element Me
 thod model that reformulates elastic strain energy for fracture simulation
  and adds negligible overhead over FEM. It models fracture on the graph in
 duced in a volumetric mesh with tetrahedral elements. We relabel the edges
  of the graph using a damage variable to propagate the fracture. We enhanc
 e this method with probabilistic damage mechanics to model fracture in mat
 erials with impurities. We combine graph-based FEM with Galerkin multigrid
  to run fracture simulations at an interactive rate even for high-resoluti
