Kunal Gupta is a Research Fellow at the University of Auckland's Empathic Computing Lab. He is deeply passionate about using technology to enhance well-being and societal impact. His PhD research delved into understanding how virtual reality can foster emotional connections. During his master's, he explored innovative ways to engage with augmented reality wearables. Kunal made significant strides in the industry at Google, India, focusing on user experiences, especially for the Next Billion Users Initiative. Earlier, he designed impactful products at Ducere Technologies in India, notably a project aimed at ensuring safer mobility for seniors, which was rigorously tested at John Hopkins University, USA.
