Biography
John is the lead engineer for three projects. Pacific Research Platform ( PRP ), Cognitive Hardware and Software Ecosystem Community Infrastructure (CHASE-CI), and the CC* NPEO: Toward the National Research Platform (TNRP). Using Kubernetes, the Nautilus Hyper-cluster was deployed as a global research and education network to support these NSF awards and many others. John is also involved with the UCSD WIFIRE cyberinfrastructure and the SDSC Firemap wildfire simulation service.
Previously John Graham acted as the chief scientist at the San Diego State University Visualization Center and collaborator with numerous projects at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) at UCSD and on numerous projects at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. John is a charter member of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation, and previously collaborated with other members on the “Open GeoData Pipeline” for disaster response-related satellite data and aerial photography coming from the U.S. Navy and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
