Democratizing Building Information Model (BIM) Data Access in Digital Twins by Using OGC I3S 3D Streaming Standard
DescriptionThis talk will showcase the democratization of Building Information Model (BIM) data access for Digital Twins by leveraging an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) 3d streaming standard, Indexed 3D Scene Layers (I3S). I3S enables the streaming and consumption of massive 3d geospatial content. The talk will focus on OGC I3S 1.3 and showcases various 3D geospatial data types including 3D objects, integrated surface meshes, point cloud as well as highly detailed BIM content, to web browsers, mobile apps, desktop and game engines. We'll focus particularly on the latest development in consuming BIM data in open frameworks such as Loaders.gl and CesiumJS.
