Xuexi Dang (Beijing, China), currently based in California, US, is pursuing her Ph.D. in Art History, Criticism, and Theory at the University of California, San Diego with a specialization in East Asian art. She received an MA in East Asian Studies from University of Pennsylvania in 2020 where she completed a Master Thesis on blue-and-green landscape paintings. Xuexi’s research focuses on the visual culture of China in relation to pictorial publications and contemporary science / art interactions, with an emphasis on painting and new media art.
