He is a professor with the State Key Laboratory of Computer Science, Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 1988, he has been working at Institute of Software, and obtained the PhD in 1998. He ever earned some awards including Science & Technology Prize by Chinese Education Ministry in 2000 and Excellent PhD Dissertation Award by Degree Committee of State Department of China and Chinese Education Ministry in 2001. He has published over 180 papers on many topics including realistic image synthesis, volume rendering, image editing, fluid simulation and geometry processing.
