Bing-Yu Chen, aka Robin Chen, received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Information Science from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2003. He joined National Taiwan University as a faculty member in 2003 and is currently a Distinguished Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering and the Department of Information Management. He was the Dean of the College of Design and Innovation (D-School) from 2019 to 2024 and was an Associate Dean of the College of Management from 2013 to 2019. His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, and Image Processing. He is a senior member of ACM and IEEE, a steering committee member of Pacific Graphics since 2011, and an ACM SIGGRAPH Asia Conference Advisory Group (SACAG) member at large since 2023.
