Mairi Gunn is a Senior Lecturer in Design at Waipapa Taumata Rau, the University of Auckland. She is an award-winning documentary maker, cinematographer, and digital designer, currently using Extended Reality (AR/VR) experiences to foreground intercultural relationships. Her work with Māori and women from migrant backgrounds de-centres voices of European settlers to re-order contemporary power dynamics and overcome intercultural discomfort.
