He is an associate professor at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), where he is leading the Computer Graphics Laboratory. Prior to joining GIST, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Disney Research (UK based). He received his MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from KAIST, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. His research focuses on optimization techniques of photorealistic rendering algorithms (e.g., ray tracing).
