Julie Lyons is the lead research assistant for the Auslan Communication Technologies Pipeline project, and one of the leaders of the Queensland Deaf community. She has a Bachelors of Leisure Management from Griffith University, and is a certified Deaf Interpreter and Auslan teacher, and has been an Auslan Learning Model. She has been actively involved in major community sporting and cultural events.
