Florian Rist is a Research Scientist at the Visual Computing Center (VCC) at KAUST and a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Arts and Design at TU Vienna. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Architecture from TU Munich and is a licensed architect in Germany. Before his academic career, Rist worked at several international architectural firms. His research focuses on computational and parametric design, complex freeform geometry in architecture, and digital fabrication. He is also a founding member of the Center for Geometry and Computational Design at TU Vienna.
