Quentin Becker
Biography
I am a postdoctoral researcher in computer science working at University of Tokyo with Prof. Takeo Igarashi. I am a did my PhD in computer science, supervised by Prof. Mark Pauly, where I developed algorithms to simulate, explore, optimize, and rationalize deployable gridshells with curved elastic beams. During my PhD, I have interned at Google Research in Berlin (hosted by Dr. Urs Bergmann) where I worked on geometry simplification through geometric primitive composition. Prior to starting my PhD, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Major in Fluid Dynamics) supervised by Prof. Mohammad-Reza Alam and from ISAE Supaero with a Master of Science in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering.
