
Biography
Bio: Tao Du is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS) at Tsinghua University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Computational Design and Fabrication Group (CDFG) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He works on interesting computational design problems at the intersection of computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and robotics. His work has been published in top-tier journals and conferences in computer graphics (TOG/SIGGRAPH) and machine learning (NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR), with notable contributions highlighted by prominent technology media outlets such as WIRED, MIT News, IEEE Spectrum, and TechCrunch.
