Ioannis Karamouzas
Biography
Ioannis Karamouzas is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, Riverside. Prior to becoming faculty, he worked as a postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota and received his Ph.D. from Utrecht University. His research focuses on developing motion planning algorithms for autonomous agents in both virtual and physical settings. His work has been integrated into commercial applications, including robotics software and pedestrian simulation suites. He is a recipient of an NSF CAREER Award and an Amazon Research Award, and is currently serving on the editorial board of IEEE TVCG and IEEE RA-L.
