Shuo Yan received her PhD in Beijing Institute of Technology. She used to work as a research assistant in MIT Media Lab. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the School of New Media Arts & Design, Beihang University, Beijing, China. Her grants, awards, and publications include over 20 scientific papers, two patents, a national excellent doctoral dissertation award supported by China Simulation Federation, a national award for distinguished doctorates in China. Her work seeks to push the boundaries of design and technology to create innovative solutions with the power to augment human capabilities in XR environment.
