Xiaohong Jia received both her B.S. degree and Ph.D. in department of Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China. She spent two years as a Joint Ph.D. student at Rice University, US. She finished her postdoctoral research in the University of Hongkong. She is now a professor at Academy of Mathematics of Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her current research focuses on theory and algorithms in symbolic computation, computational algebraic geometry, computer aided design and computer graphics.
