Maurizio M. Chiaramonte
Biography
Maurizio Chiaramonte is a Director and Research Scientist at Meta, where he is an innovator in the field of neural reduced-order models (amongst others). His pioneering work includes explorations into neural methods for complicated contact, solving physics equations directly on neural representations, and augmenting those representations to seamlessly function across large, parameterized, shape spaces. Before his time at Meta, Maurizio was an Assistant Professor at Princeton University. He received his PhD from Stanford University where he was awarded the Juan C. Simo Best Thesis Award from Stanford University for his work on simulating crack propagation using the Finite Element Method.
