Supporting the conference theme – Connecting Stories, being able to tell stories and communicate effectively through and across a diverse range of social, cultural, professional, technical, and creative networks, and communities is a vital part of the educational experience. SIGGRAPH Asia views education as a natural and essential part of the lifelong learning process and supports the evolving integration of art and technology embraced by educators.


As an international gathering of industry professionals and academics, the Educator’s Forum will present perspectives that appeal to a wide spectrum of interests and share educational strategies adopted in both industry and academia to make the learning process more satisfying, productive, and meaningful.

At SIGGRAPH Asia 2023, the Art Gallery will showcase works of excellence across the fields of art, science, and technology inclusive of data visualisation, 3D printing, XR, robotics, AI, sonic, performative, NFT and media/interactive installation.
Unruly as found in wild, disorderly, experimental, uncontrollable as well as those freefalling out of control anxious moments spanning conflict, climate crisis, pandemics, inequality, surveillance, financial and biosystem collapse for instance.
Times as in deep time, digital time, analogue time, circular, ancestral, mechanical, felt time or as a finite resource. These are times that call for an increasing need for practices to be sustainable, kinder, agile, and scalable and more inclusive of divergent voices and bodies and experimental unexpected processes.

DescriptionEmerging Technologies is a juried exhibition within the Experience Hall that showcases the latest emerging and innovative Technologies that aim to improve our lives. There will also be scheduled presentations for submitters to explain the concepts behind these new research innovations.
This year’s Emerging Technologies theme is the “IN(TER)VENTION.”

Developing functional and experiential prototypes is a crucial step towards novel technological innovations. As such, the Emerging Technologies program plays a vital role within SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia in driving the development of research communities and to make a great impact on the public.
The main form of presentation is a demonstration that promises to provide you with an awe-inspiring experience! The best demonstration will also be selected and honored with the “Best Demo Award”.

DescriptionThe Extended Reality (XR) program is a juried exhibition within the Experience Hall that showcases Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) prototype systems and/or innovative content with off-the-shelf consumer products and software. There will also be scheduled presentations for submitters to explain the concepts behind these novel technologies.
XR includes representative forms such as VR, AR and MR. It is a superset which includes the entire spectrum from “the complete real” to “the complete virtual” in the reality–virtuality continuum.
Something new this year will be the XR Theater, where immersive cinematic and storytelling experiences can be viewed in a VR display theater-like setting!
